Stardew Valley Desert is a location in the video game “Stardew Valley”. It is one of the five main areas in the game and can be accessed by upgrading the bus in the southeast corner of Pelican Town. The desert is home to a variety of resources, including unique crops, artisan goods, minerals, and geodes that can be used to progress in the game. The desert also features several other attractions, including the Oasis, the Skull Cavern, and the Abandoned JojaMart. It is a harsh environment, and players need to take precautions like carrying water, avoiding heat stroke and exploring the area during the cooler hours of the day.

It is the only area of the game with cacti, white, and mushrooms for many different tasks. Whereas everywhere else on the map only contains cacti. Players will complete the quest to discover the game’s new items in this game. In the Stardew Desert Valley, players can also meet different and unique characters.

Features of Stardew Valley Desert

Strawdew Valley’s Desert Game has some new various features not found elsewhere. The most prominent of these, and players can use them are:

1. Unique Crops: Players can grow exclusive crops such as Cactus Fruit, which can only be found in the desert.
2. Artisan Goods: The desert is home to artisan goods such as pickles, juice, and jam, which are made from the crops grown in the area.
3. Minerals and Geodes: Players can mine various minerals and geodes from the desert, sell them for profit, or use them to upgrade their tools.
4. Oasis: The Oasis is a location in the desert where players can buy items, interact with NPCs, and purchase seeds for their farm.
5. Skull Cavern: The Skull Cavern is a mysterious underground mine where players can find rare resources, including gems and minerals.
6. Abandoned JojaMart: The Abandoned JojaMart is a former retail store that has since been abandoned. Players can explore the area to find useful items and resources.
7. Day/Night Cycle: The Stardew Valley Desert has a unique day/night cycle, with temperatures ranging from hot to extremely hot during the day and relatively cool at night.
8. Hazards: Players must be cautious in the desert as there are hazards such as heat stroke and vultures that can attack and damage the player’s health.

Different Plants in the Stardew Valley Desert

Players will find a patch of land on the bottom left side of the Desert to plant unique crops. Players use gold coins for planting. Each one costs 200 Gold Coins to produce.

If Players have any fruit or vegetable seeds and no space to plant them in the ground, try the following trick: Build an irrigated area down below ground next to your greenhouse. The merchant sells these seeds to players, including Cacti seeds, Star fruit seeds, beet seeds, etc. Different seeds are sold daily to players. Players don’t have to visit multiple times.

Fishing in the Stardew Valley Desert

If players think there is only one area for fishing, there are also more fishing areas for players in the game. Players can fish in the pond. The small shacks hold skilling supplies, such as the Workbench or even a Portable Forge.

 If Players intend on catching all nine unique types of cacti, it may be helpful to bring 1-3 pieces of bait just for catching fish. Cactus Seeds cannot be used as bait. There is no other source for getting more than three pieces at once during the game without the help of a mod. No fish can be sold, and players can fish multiple versions of them.

Building Material in the Stardew Valley Desert

The Calico Desert also provides building materials to players such as Stone and Clay and further Coal and Copper Ore. Players can loot items such as Broken Parts and Copper Ore. Players will break objects with a pickaxe or hoe while mining rubble. Geodes found in this area are the only way to get Amethyst in Town. It is much easier than traveling to the Mines during wintertime to get Amethyst.

Tips & Tricks:

When mining rubble, if players have a hoe or pickaxe in their inventory. A window will appear, allowing players to break the rubble again for extra items. At the Blacksmith, Coal and Copper Ore are used for smelting. They are giving twice the amount of nuggets to players from each ore compared to Smelting them individually.

What Are The Stardew Valley’s Most Valuable Items?

The most valuable items in Stardew Valley can vary depending on the in-game market and player choices. However, here are some items that are generally considered valuable:

1. Iridium Ore: Iridium Ore is one of the rarest minerals in the game, and it can be used to upgrade tools and purchase rare items.
2. Prismatic Shards: Prismatic Shards are rare gems that can be found in the Skull Cavern and can be sold for a high price.
3. Ancient Fruit: Ancient Fruit is a crop that takes several seasons to grow and can be sold for a large sum of money.
4. Truffles: Truffles are a type of mushroom that can be found using a trained pig and sold for a high price.
5. Lobster: Lobster is a type of fish that can be caught in the ocean and sold for a high price.
6. Wine: Wine is a type of artisan good made from fruit and can be sold for a large sum of money.
7. Rare Seeds: Rare seeds such as the Ancient Seeds or the seeds from the Witch’s Swamp can be grown and sold for a high price.

These items are typically considered valuable in Stardew Valley, but the actual value can vary based on the in-game market and player choices.

Cacti in the Stardew Valley Desert

As mentioned earlier, players can obtain cactus fruit from some of the cacti around the area. A new item is introduced to players in ACT II, and it is needed for quite a lot of bundles. Cactus fruit doesn’t come from anywhere else.

Players keep in mind that all of these bundles need level 45 Crafting. Some farming makes them more difficult for lower-level players. After players finish all of these quests, they will not receive any more cactus fruits.

Artifacts in the Stardew Valley Desert

Players can find Artifacts at levels 1-30 in The Dusty Burrow on Land 7. Once players start digging up treasures below level 30, though, Artifacts will longer appear here. Instead, they will only appear at levels 1-30 in Layers 1 through 4. The preferred Artifact spot is Layer 2, even though the level range is more prominent. It has an Artifact frequency of 7% versus 6% at Layer 3 or 4.

The best digger to bring with you on this expedition is probably Tumbleweed (Level 20) or Fossilized Bones (Level 40). The players have a doubled chance of finding Artifacts and won’t be slowed down if they see one.

Other options include Rockin’ Robin (Level 10), who can speed herself up, and Fossilized Bones (Level 40). The player can speed himself up or Mining Mole (Level 30 – the only digger with a moderate increase in digging rate).

Mod in the Stardew Valley Desert

One of the three pillars in the Desert allows players to unlock a Galaxy Sword (a reference to Final Fantasy VII). It is quite similar to the sword that Cloud wields. Installation instructions are found in the readme file.

It is now compatible with multiplayer. Using the new compatibility versions, you can choose either version of the sword – shiny or standard colors. It can work on any computer (including Macs), so there shouldn’t be any issues for anyone trying out these mods.

There are two versions of this mod, one for single-player and one for multiplayer. Go into the game’s files and open up stardew valley assets. There should be a file called ‘item’ inside. Edit either the single-player or multiplayer version with notepad or any text editor. Then scrolls down to line 727, where it says “sword_1”. Change this to “sword_1m” if you want to see it in multiplayer. Leave it as is if you only want to use it in a single-player.
