The game is played like laser tag, only with bowling pins instead of electronic targets.
It takes two teams to play, each consisting of five players. Each team has one bowler and three shooters. (Each player counts as one shooter.) Teams may each have a maximum of two bowlers. Each player must wear a laser and flash grenade belt.
The bowlers take turns bowling. Each bowler must bowl two balls. During the first two rounds of bowling, shooters may use the laser gun to knock down any remaining pins in their team’s lane. However, during the final two rounds of bowling, only the pin that is closest to the bowler will be knocked down.
A scorecard is provided for each player that displays their team’s overall score and individual score. Customers may use the laser guns and other equipment provided to play the game.
