You will find many different hair removal methods, and waxing is one of the best, affordable, and effective methods to remove unwanted hair. There are also other methods to remove hair, but most of those are painful, time-consuming, and expensive. Every type has its own pros and cons. But in this article, I will explain the most popular and cheap one, which is waxing, because the significant benefit of waxing is you can do it at home or even for quality services you can go to a spa and salon.

Spa Waxing

Going to a spa for waxing is a good idea if you want to have smooth and completely hair-free skin. Because the professional esthetician makes sure that there should be no or less pain during waxing treatment. When visiting the spa, you can consult with your service provider if you can’t tolerate the pain of waxing some other options of hair removal like sugaring (which is entirely used natural ingredients) or most advanced hair removal treatment through Laser. Most waxing kits available in the market are of low quality, but most reputable spas always use quality products that will not harm your skin after the treatment. I always recommend to my reader they should prefer spa based waxing treatment and only go DIY if you have no time or are in rush to attend some event.

DIY Waxing

If you plan to wax your hair at home, you can find online or at drug store home waxing kits. These kits are fantastic and easy to use! You can use them to wax my upper lip and to clean up your eyebrows. It’s great because you can just put the wax in the microwave for 5 minutes and then do the waxing job yourself.

Home Waxing Kits

You have to make sure you do a few things right. First, I use a rubbing alcohol swap and clean the area beforehand. Then I apply the wax to the area I want to be waxed, be sure to apply the wax in the direction of the hair growth – then you want to apply the wax in that same direction. The wax must be hardened before you pull it off, and make sure you remove the wax in a swift, smooth motion. Make sure you remove the wax in the OPPOSITE direction than you applied it. For example, if you applied the wax in a downward motion (say that it was the direction of your hair growth), you would remove it in an upward motion.

Waxing Kits for Eyebrows

It’s excellent and easy for the upper lip as well as for cleaning up the brows. I go to a professional for shaping, but when I want to clean up the straggling hairs, not near my shaped brows, I will apply a little wax about a 1/8 inch below my brow and remove those stragglers – it’s faster and more effective than plucking. Just make sure you don’t go too close to your brow because you don’t want the wax to get on your brow line and pull out hair you didn’t want to be removed. I accidentally removed half of an eyebrow once going too fast, so make sure you take your time and be much focused. Once you are done, use another alcohol swap to clean up the area, and avoid touching the area because you do not want to put dirt or bacteria in your freshly opened pores.
