The NHL has always had great players in this league. They are always a feature to bet on every single night because some people place bets on them to score goals, record assists, or just record points in total, and then sometimes they bet against them for whatever reason. The league is in good hands when it comes to its top-tier players.

There are different point spread betting on a night-to-night basis in the NHL when the regular season is going on. Who are some of the top-tier players in the NHL, no matter how good or how young they are?

Andrei Vasilevskiy

Some people believe that Andrei Vasilevskiy is the best goalie in the NHL. He has won a Vezina Trophy already and also a Conn Smythe Trophy. Vasilevskiy is also a two-time Stanley Cup Champion. He is one of the best at his craft and what he does on a night-to-night basis.

Anytime Andrei Vasilevskiy is the goalie of the Tampa Bay Lightning, they always have a chance to win the hockey game. Tampa Bay has very good players on their roster also, but Vasilevskiy is the backbone of this hockey team.

During the regular season, he played in 63 games and had a 39-18-5 record with a .916 save percentage and a 2.49 GAA, along with two shutouts. Andrei Vasilevskiy continues to put up solid numbers for his NHL career.

Igor Shesterkin

Igor Shesterkin was one of the reasons why the New York Rangers made it to the Eastern Conference Finals this season before losing to the Tampa Bay Lightning. New York was too reliant on him like they were in the Henrik Lundqvist days also. Shesterkin was the 2021-2022 Vezina Trophy winner, and he rightfully deserved it because he was also a Hart Trophy Finalist.

Igor Shesterkin played in 53 games this season for the Rangers. His record was 36-13-4 with a .935 save percentage and a 2.07 GAA, along with six shutouts. Shesterkin has the chance to be good for the next decade for this hockey team.

Auston Matthews

Auston Matthews was always a threat to score a goal in every single game played for the Toronto Maple Leafs this season because he was so dangerous and terrifying on the ice. Matthews played in 73 games for Toronto and scored 60 goals, and recorded 46 assists. His plus/minus rating was 20.

Because of this kind of season for him, he won the Ted Lindsay Trophy and the Hart Trophy. Toronto has never had a player win the Hart Trophy before. For as iconic as their franchise has been for an Original 6 team, this is an amazing kind of feat for him.

Auston Matthews will continue to be a goal-scoring pest like Alex Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals has been throughout his career.

Connor McDavid

There are some people that believe that Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers is currently the best player in the world, despite not winning a Stanley Cup title yet. McDavid was out of this world for Edmonton during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Oilers got to the Western Conference Finals before getting swept against the Colorado Avalanche.

In the playoffs, he played in 16 games and scored ten goals, and recorded 23 assists. His plus/minus rating was 15. In 80 games during the regular season, Connor McDavid scored 44 goals and recorded 79 assists, with a plus/minus rating of 28.

Sidney Crosby

Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins had another solid season and is still one of the best players in the world with his two-way play and his leadership for this franchise. In 69 games played, he scored 31 goals and recorded 53 assists, with a plus/minus rating of 19. Crosby will be around for a few more seasons with this prestigious franchise.
