Lower Odds To Win the 2022-2023 NBA Championship

There are always teams with lower odds that surprise people the following season, whenever they were not good the previous season. Some of the favorites to win the 2022-2023 NBA Championship next season will be the Golden State Warriors, the Boston Celtics, the Brooklyn Nets, the Los Angeles Clippers, and the Milwaukee Bucks.

There is a ton of talent in the NBA, and a lot of teams these days are building their foundation through the NBA Draft and also developing them. That is how the Golden State Warriors have won four NBA championships in eight seasons and also how the Boston Celtics got to the NBA Finals this season. There are predictions today being made for the 2022-2023 NBA Championship. Who has good value odds for next season?

Philadelphia 76ers +1600

The Philadelphia 76ers were the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference last season. If Joel Embiid didn’t get hurt, some people believe that they would have been in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Philadelphia has talent returning. Tyrese Maxey is an ascending guard, and they will most likely bring back James Harden even though he is not the same anymore.

A possibility could potentially be trading Tobias Harris and unloading his contract. If Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards decides not to come back to Washington, Beal could be in play for Philadelphia.

A Big 3 or 4 of Embiid, Beal, Harden, and Maxey could be one of the best in the Eastern Conference.

This might make their championship odds even higher. Doc Rivers is the head coach. The Eastern Conference will be tough next season, but it might be good to grab the 76ers now because it might be a team that has their odds move up as the offseason progresses.

Memphis Grizzlies +1800

The Memphis Grizzlies had the second-best record in the NBA last season. They were the number two seed in the Western Conference and lost to the Golden State Warriors in Round 2 of the NBA Playoffs.

Memphis is not scared of anyone, and they want all of that smoke. A lot of people think that the Grizzlies can win the Western Conference next season if the Golden State Warriors don’t.

There are some NBA analysts that think that the Memphis Grizzlies are the next small market basketball team to win an NBA title as the Milwaukee Bucks did with Giannis Antetokounmpo and company in 2021. Memphis has Ja Morant, Dillon Brooks, Desmond Bane, and Jaren Jackson Jr.

Steven Adams is a reliable veteran, and they also have a deep bench. They have wings that can score the basketball and also defend. Taylor Jenkins is a very good head coach and is the right man for them moving forward.

Dallas Mavericks +2000

The Dallas Mavericks somehow made it to the Western Conference Finals as the fourth seed in the Western Conference with Luka Doncic and just a bunch of other B and C role players last season. Dallas was one of the best defensive teams in the NBA last season, and that is why they made it that far before losing to the Golden State Warriors in five games.

The Mavericks upset the Phoenix Suns in Game 7 in Round 2 on the road, and they demolished them from start to finish. Doncic had that killer instinct about him from start to finish under head coach Jason Kidd.

Dallas also recently traded for power forward/center Christian Wood from the Houston Rockets. That will help their rim-protecting big time. They don’t need to try and get center DeAndre Ayton on the open market now.

Dallas could try to do a sign-and-trade for Jalen Brunson and trade him to the Washington Wizards for Bradley Beal or maybe sign Zach LaVine in free agency. LaVine played with the Chicago Bulls last season and is looking to test the open market this summer.
