List of Best HDR Monitors

There are many HDR monitors available on the market, but not all of them provide the quality that you need. If you’re looking for a good display to use with your desktop PC or laptop, there are a few features that you should consider. You may also read Budget Ultrawide Monitor.

Finding all these features in one monitor is difficult, but our list below can help you find the best HDR display for your needs.

HDR10 and Dolby Vision support

You will see a lot of monitors on the market which claim to be compatible with HDR content, but only a few of them actually offer support for both HDR10 and Dolby Vision. If you want to watch videos with high dynamic range on your monitor, make sure it supports these two standards.

Multiple ports

You will want to connect your monitor to several devices at once, so make sure it has enough video inputs and outputs to allow you to do this. The ideal choice should have at least two HDMI ports and one DisplayPort or Mini DisplayPort port.

High brightness

The higher the brightness level of the display, the better it will be able to show details in brighter scenes. A brightness level of 300 nits or higher is recommended when watching HDR content, although some models can reach up to 600 nits in some modes.

LG OLED48C1

The LG OLED48C1 is a great monitor for both work and gaming, thanks to its broad color gamut, wide viewing angles, HDR support and fast response time. The only thing missing is a higher refresh rate, but even so, the LG OLED48C1 is currently our favorite 4K monitor for gaming.

Description:The LG C1 series of monitors follows in the footsteps of the original series from last year. It’s really one of the best looking monitors out there, with a thin bezel design with a clean white chassis that blends into any setup. The stand is thin enough not to take up too much desk space – though it is rather wobbly.

The most important feature on this monitor is the use of “Nano Cell” technology, which allows the display to achieve an incredibly high contrast ratio of 100 million:1. This would have been unheard of in IPS panels just 3 years ago. The panel also covers 100% of the sRGB spectrum and 98% of DCI-P3 color gamut – meaning it’s suitable for entertainment as well as productivity purposes.
